Melissa Lockwood
Mental Health Counseling Intern
I believe in the strength and courage it takes to seek help. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I am committed to learning about your unique story and helping you reach your goals. I enjoy working with a strength-based and client-centered approach, where we can focus on creating the changes you want to see in your life. I believe you are the expert of change in your own story, and it is a privilege to join you in the process.
I have experience working with youth and families involved in the Juvenile Justice System and teens and young adults working through social and emotional challenges.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University (Go Green!) and am completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New York University.
I’m relatively new to the greater Chicago area and Northshore, and in my free time, I love to spend time outside, try new restaurants, and read books!
