Meeae King

The foundation for my philosophy on counseling is rooted in genuine human connection. I utilize a person-centered approach and believe that connection is integral to healing. By providing a non-judgemental space where authentic exchanges and partnership are present, the work needed for change can take place.

My focus is in trauma, relationships, youth, life changes, bereavement, spirituality, and sexual abuse. I understand the impact that depression and anxiety can have on one’s life. I strongly value the connection we will form and acknowledge the importance of seeing every client and situation as unique. My approach will be to consider the intricacies of each client’s needs and life circumstances.

I am pursuing my Master’s in clinical mental health counseling at National Louis University and have worked as a crisis intervention counselor for youth. I hold a Master’s degree in education from DePaul University and have over 15 years of experience working as an educator. My passion has always been helping others through relationships.
