This is all about you! I believe we are born with exactly what we need to be successful in this life, it is just a matter of being willing to the deep dive. I am passionate about helping people recognize and embrace their strength and hope. Seeking guidance and support on any leg of life’s journey takes courage, a commitment to truth, and an openness to vulnerability. One of my favorite quotes is from Brene Brown, Ph.D., “Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change.”

You don’t have to do this on your own! I will provide the space necessary to explore whatever life has thrown your way. Compassion, humor, and vulnerability create a superpower

that builds a foundation for lasting change. I have been privileged to guide people through complex medical situations, terminal illnesses, chronic medical/mental illness, trauma, and addiction. Helping people navigate life’s expected and unexpected transitions is the core of my practice.

My career spans just over 25 years and has given me many rich and diverse experiences. I have worked with every age group. The youngest being newborns and the oldest being 105 years old; however, the vast majority have been somewhere in the middle. I utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions and take an eclectic approach; no two clients are the same. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Integrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and Humor!

I have my undergraduate degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from the University of Dayton, and Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Adams School of Social Work. I continue to explore various therapeutic interventions through continuing education and am fascinated with the unique intricacies of our brains.

I am a new “empty nester” and embracing the transition. On the other hand, I’m wondering if kids ever really leave! My husband and I are on the hunt for the perfect rescue puppy!
